WGI has a strong client relationship with the City of East Lansing that spans decades. We’ve provided restoration engineering for the City’s existing parking structures for many years, and our firm designed the Charles Street mixed-use parking structure in 2002. 

In 2015, we assisted the City in updating its Five-Year Parking Master Plan. In May of 2016, we provided consulting services and RFP assistance for the replacement of the City’s entire PARC system including all public garages and lots. 

We remain engaged with the City of East Lansing and are currently providing restoration engineering for a full slab replacement project at the MAC underground garage and providing Owner’s Representative and construction oversight service for the City Center mixed-use project under construction. 

Project Highlights

• PARC replacement included new electrical and state-of-the-art security systems with digital cameras.
• WGI specified and provided construction oversight for new LED lighting systems for all existing parking structures. 
• Previous restoration work included a full stair replacement and major concrete repairs to the Grove Street Parking Structure.
