The Embassy Suites Hotel has 28 floors above grade of hotel space and four levels below grade for parking, storage, and laundry facilities. In 1963, the structure was composed of two-way cast-in-place conventionally reinforced concrete supported by conventionally reinforced concrete columns.
WGI was retained to conduct a condition assessment of the parking levels, exhibiting high deterioration levels. Repair options included a full-depth slab replacement and slab strip repairs, in addition to beam, column, and wall repairs, floor drain replacement, and installation of sealants. WGI created repair documents and provided construction administration for the project.
