The Fifth Third Bank – St. Joseph is a modern, three-story concrete frame building with a basement situated beneath the extreme north end. It houses a banking facility, with the lobby and tellers on the ground floor and commercial space on the upper two floors. Persistent leaking into the basement area has plagued this facility for many years. Grading and asphalt settlement problems of a historic nature were visible.
WGI provided an investigation of the exterior structure and pavement and basement interior conditions, drains, and soil settlement. WGI prepared a letter report with recommended repairs and an opinion of the probable repair cost.
