Genesee County Mccree Parking Ramp

Project Details

 WGI conducted a structural evaluation of the parking ramp, prepared plans and specifications to implement repairs, prepared construction documents, established project teams and standard procedures for appropriate communication throughout the project, and provided construction administration. Immediate repairs included: 

  • Floor slab delaminations 
  • Beam and column concrete 
  • Electrical 
  • Stair nosing and structural steel 
  • It was also recommended that precast beams be monitored throughout the remaining life of the structure: 
  • New horizontal or vertical cracks 
  • Widening of existing cracks 
  • Concrete spalls/delaminations, particularly at tee stem bearing 
  • New or widening cracks at repaired beams with external post-tensioning 
  • Active staining/leaking from existing cracks 
  • Excessive corrosion or damage of external P/T cables and/or anchorages 
  • Floor delaminations at columns over beam post-tensioning
