Grassy Waters Preserve is a 20-square mile fresh water resource developed and operated by the City of West Palm Beach. This facility provides fresh drinking water for over 320,000 residents. The development of the park was conceived by the City as an opportunity to expand the urban citizen’s awareness of the natural ecosystem.Â
WGI was involved in the inception of the design to provide master plan studies, develop research for funding and budget issues, as well as conduct workshops with regional specialists in environmental permitting for the development of this facility in a pristine environment. WGI produced all construction documentation for the boardwalk system, wayfinding signage, parking, and helicopter pad.Â
