WGI provided professional services for the design of the Herman Massey Park rehabilitation. The primary approach was to enhance the park by accommodating functional and dynamic spaces that allow for community events, gatherings of various sizes, contemplative space, and pet and owner play areas.
The scope of design services includes improved lighting, varied seating types, performance and gathering area, electric service for small events or food trucks, a dog park, drinking fountains, hardscape, landscape, irrigation, and appropriate recreation. As part of the full scope of services, WGI also provided public involvement with online GIS public surveys and website and coordination with the City’s Public Art Department to include an iconic piece of art within site.
