Hiram H. Ward Evaluation And Repairs

WGI joined forces with CDA Architects to complete an engineering-condition assessment of the Hiram H. Ward parking deck, identifying structural and waterproofing deterioration. The parking deck was constructed in 1974, providing approximately 202 parking spaces for different governmental agencies. The assessment consisted of a visual review, chain dragging, hammer sounding, petrographic analysis, and half-cell testing. The parking deck was found in moderate condition but exhibited several types of distress typical for this age and construction-type decks. WGI provided several repair recommendations to ensure the parking deck remained serviceable and safe for use.
