As the Contractor’s Engineer of Record, WGI provided structural engineering design, plan revisions, and post-design services for the four (4) post and panel ground mounted noise barrier walls for the I-75 (SR 93 ) widening from north of SR 951 to south of Golden Gate Parkway project. The sound walls are 22 feet high, and the total length is approximately 3.5 miles. The redesign of the sound walls included increasing the post spacing and providing a refined analysis for the foundation lengths and  reinforcement as a part of this Cost Savings Initiative Proposal (CSIP). Close coordination with the contractor and the wall fabricator helped to optimize the design, providing cost savings to the contractor and FDOT District 1.
