WGI was selected to provide professional surveying, civil engineering, and electrical engineering services to assist IKE Smart City with the installation and launch of their interactive kiosks in the Tampa and Miami, FL areas. WGI also aided in the preparation of construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction phase services.
The Interactive Kiosk Experience, also known as “IKE”, features fully digital and feature interactive touch screens that utilize innovative wayfinding and communication technology to encourage exploration and discovery, engage users, and assist with navigating local destinations.
The kiosks are located in popular destinations in and around Tampa, including the Hilton Tampa Downtown, Channel District, Armature Works, Lykes Gaslight Park, Curtis Hixon Park, MacDill Park, Poe Plaza, Sail Pavilion, and the Tampa Downtown Partnership (TDP) office. Survey services included providing a topographic survey of the project limits, including visible and attainable improvements in accordance with Chapter 472.027 of the Florida Statutes. It also included right-of-way determination and coordination with Utility Agency Owners (UAOs).
