WGI assisted Kadlec Regional Medical Center (KRMC) in assessing current and future parking needs, and determining appropriate parking system improvements.
Parking inventory and occupancy counts determined the utilization of the existing parking supply. Future parking demand was estimated applying population projections for the various user groups and using future development projections provided by KRMC. Finally, parking demand estimates were compared to effective parking supplies to determine the study area’s current and future parking adequacy.
Alternatives were provided for meeting anticipated needs, including improving the campus parking system’s management and operations, which focused on maximizing the safety, efficiency, and effective utilization of existing parking resources before developing new parking assets.
