Construction of a new ethanol railcar offloading facility in busy Port Everglades allows delivery of ethanol railcars directly into existing storage tanks, minimizing the number of transports required to reach the South Florida market, thus reducing consumer costs.
WGI provided a number of surveying services, including horizontal and vertical control surveys, construction layout surveys, and as-built surveys for construction of the facility. This included new railroad tracks, accessory building, roadway and parking, overhead piping and racks, a drainage retention system, spill containment ponds, fire suppression systems, and utilities.
