The City of Pompano Beach entrusted WGI with a comprehensive project to enhance the infrastructure in two vital areas: NW 15th Street and the vicinity of Markham Elementary School. These locations, with partially paved roadways, presented an opportunity for improvement to benefit the surrounding neighborhoods. WGI collaborated closely across various disciplines to deliver the required services to the City efficiently.
WGI surveyed the adjacent residential properties and created sketches and legal documents to show how much right-of-way the City would ask the property owners to donate to allow paving of these roadways to improve the neighborhood. The City also requested that WGI create typical cross-sections depicting the design of the new roadway and organize outreach to the property owners to inform them of the project. Through close coordination with the City, we identified the property owners, monitored when the properties were sold and new owners were identified, provided and updated sketches and legal documentation when required, and participated in the outreach meeting where the project was explained to the current property owners.
WGI worked hand-in-hand with the City to ensure that their efforts for this project aligned with their vision for neighborhood enhancement.
