Pinellas Bayway Bridge AET Study

This task work order from WGI’s continuing services contract for All Electronic Tolling (AET), express lanes, and architectural design support, completed an alternatives analysis of the options for conversions to AET at the east, west, and south tolling plaza locations on SR 679 and SR 682 in Pinellas County. The analysis included an inventory of the existing geometric and civil conditions, and a high level evaluation of the potential impacts various AET conversion options would have at each location, including cost estimates. WGI professional services included project management, roadway, drainage, environmental, utility coordination, signing and pavement marking, survey, toll facilities, and architecture.  

Project Highlights:

• The project context was an arterial roadway with businesses, private residences, pedestrian/bicycle facilities, and intersections which presented many unique challenges when evaluating a new toll site that is not typically encountered in a limited access facility context.
