Phase 1A: The Plum Creek Uptown Phase 1A Infrastructure project supports the expansion of the Plum Creek Uptown Community in the City of Kyle (Hays County) and for future expansion and development of 15 acres of new retail, office, and mixed-use projects. The project includes roadway, storm sewer, waterline, and wastewater design for the core infrastructure improvements. The City of Kyle and North Hays Municipal Utility District was engaged during the project design, bid, and construction phase. The design for the infrastructure improvements includes more than 1,600 linear feet of new roadways, with 1,000 linear feet of storm sewer collection system to convey drainage along the roadway, and approximately 1,925 linear feet of water and 1,600 linear feet of sanitary sewer in the infrastructure design.
WGI coordinated with private utilities to incorporate conduit infrastructure into the project, allowing services to be seamlessly constructed and avoiding conflicts. WGI also provided bid phase services, including conducting virtual prebid and bid opening meetings through the pandemic.
Phase II: This project represents years of effort between the City of Kyle and Plum Creek to design and construct public roads for the Brick & Mortar District of Plum Creek. These roads will provide pedestrian and vehicular connectivity between the City’s marquee, Heroes Memorial Park, and La Verde Park. The infrastructure improvements project includes the design and construction of 2,600 linear feet of roadway, 2,200 linear feet of storm sewer and collection system, 1,200 linear feet of sanitary sewer, 2,700 linear feet of water infrastructure, 2,200 linear feet of dry utilities, and erosion control measures.
