Port of Palm Beach Slips and Marginal Wharf Hydrographic Survey

Under a continuing services contract with the Port of Palm Beach, WGI was asked to provide professional survey services to determine dredge volumes at specific depths. WGI prepared a hydrographic and quantity survey from bathymetric data collected within the three slips and along the marginal wharf of the Port. The bathymetric data was collected using a single beam echosounder paired with Hypack hydrographic surveying software. In addition, WGI collected sidescan sonar data in a raster image format to assist the Port in identifying submerged objects that may pose a danger to navigation and dredging activities.
