Located adjacent to Walt Disney World in Orange County, Florida, this solar site consists of approximately 264 acres of land and utilizes areas of the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID) property currently not being used as a dry retention pond. WGI performed an ALTA/NSPS Land Title survey and topographic survey of the solar lease areas and within the location of wetlands and environmentally sensitive areas. WGI surveyed 9 different lease areas and one substation parcel, coordinating directly with the Client, RCID, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to ensure a smooth transition between project phases. A compressed schedule and delivery date required WGI to mobilize quickly and coordinate with additional personnel to complete this project on schedule.
