As part of Florida Power & Light’s upgrades to the Riviera Beach Power Plant on the Intracoastal Waterway, WGI assisted FPL in evaluating an existing discharge structure and 500 feet of piping. Based on our condition assessment, the discharge structure was modified and rehabilitated to serve new power generators.
WGI also designed new seawalls for the manatee pocket which raised the elevation by three feet to provide future sea-level rise and stormwater surge protection.
