WGI completed the structural design of floating docks, 200 linear feet of seawall, an L-shaped, six-foot wide fishing pier, and a boardwalk with gazebo in an area of the Lake Worth Lagoon that was once a dead zone. The area was previously depleted and could not support any form of life. The County’s Snook Island project has encouraged the return of birds and marine life to
the area, which is quickly becoming a favorite spot for manatees.
WGI also provided the County with specifications for the new floating dock, as well as construction phase services during construction. These included calculations, RFI responses, and attending preconstruction meetings and periodic milestone meetings. WGI was on site to observe all construction activities, including concrete placement, pile installation, dock installation, and floating dock installation. Being engineer of record and CEI for this project allowed WGI to quickly and efficiently solve any construction-related issues that arose during construction.
