WGI provided structural design services for the South Lake Worth Inlet 22-foot wide by 400-foot long fishing pier that was constructed over the existing jetty, and replacement of the sand transfer building on the northern jetty. The original jetties were installed to keep the natural longshore movement of sand from entering the inlet. Improvements included the installation of 200 concrete piles to support the new northern jetty, in addition to new decking, aluminum handrails, and steel sheet pile walls along both sides of the inlet.
