WGI was tasked with the design and control survey of a 0.74-mile section of SR 70A in Bradenton, FL. The project consisted of a full topographic survey of the corridor, including extending down side roads, setting new vertical benchmarks, and reestablishing the existing alignment and right of way lines based on record right of way maps and maintenance maps that cover the project. WGI used a combination of Terrestrial mobile LiDAR, GPS, and traditional ground survey to collect data and merged everything into a cohesive base file for use by FDOT.
