SR 739 (Fowler Street) at Thompson Street Signal Improvements

As part of the Design-Build Pushbutton contract, this task work order improved safety at the intersection of Fowler Street and Thompson Street with the replacement of traffic signals and pedestrian facilities. All three existing signal structures were replaced with new mast arm assemblies, and new pedestrian features were implemented at all four corners. Other work elements included milling and resurfacing of the intersection to the radial returns on all legs of the intersection, installation of signs, pavement markings, and connection to Lee County ITS/ATMS system. We also conducted an illumination analysis to determine if the existing lighting was sufficient. This led to the relocation of a light pole.
