The six-level parking structure is designed to be compatible and functions with themadjacent Van Andel Arena and the surrounding Studio Park development. It serves the mixed-use development, including a movie theater, residential, hotel, office, and retail uses. Additionally, it provides parking for special events at the arena and is designed to handle peak traffic flows associated with each use. It includes a parking guidance system to help patrons quickly find available parking spaces and a unique standalone connector core links residential, theater, and parking with a multi-level bridge. The parking structure includes durability features appropriate for cold climate exposure conditions and foundations designed to support an adjacent office building and a future 16-story residential tower with a green roof terrace above it.
