Sunshine Square Shopping Center

The Sunshine Square Shopping Center was an existing 14.4-acre, mixed-use commercial property located in Boynton Beach, Florida. The existing development contained a combination of strip-mall and free-standing retail buildings, financial institutions and restaurants. The entire site was modified to accommodate the addition of a Bank of America, TD Bank, Panera Bread, Chipotle, and the expansion and complete remodeling of the existing Publix Supermarket. WGI’s design accommodated additional outparcels and the required parking, all while improving the site aesthetics, traffic flow and infrastructure. WGI provided parking lot design modifications for the expansion of the shopping center, and analyzed the existing pavement conditions and through value engineering, determined that the owner could mill and overlay 1-inch of asphalt in lieu of reconstructing the entire lot. Permitting agencies included the City of Boynton Beach, Palm Beach County Engineering, Palm Beach County Health Department, Florida Department of Transportation, and Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
