Located in Palm Beach County, FL, The Fountains is a 150-acre golf course redevelopment project which includes a mix of residential housing types designed to be compatible with the 1,800 unit community it surrounds. Due to the closure of 18 of the 54 golf holes, WGI provided planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, environmental, and representation services to secure approval for three new residential pods, including 318 apartments and two townhome developments totaling 270 units on the abandoned portion of the course.

With an array of amenities, the development proposal includes a new pool and clubhouse facility, as well as a robust open space system retrofitting the abandoned golf course areas into large tracts of open space with additional landscaping for the residents to enjoy. There is also an expansive lake system, with many of the existing lakes enlarged to accommodate existing and proposed drainage, while also offering enhanced views.
