Scripps is a biomedical research, drug discovery, and technological facility located in Jupiter, Florida. Selected to provide landscape design services, our firm specified Royal Palms to create a formal entry for Scripps Way and serve as a visual corridor that leads the eye to the architectural focal points of the building. Large masses of predominantly native plant material that are indigenous to the area were used. The use of palms, combined with accent shrubs, medium-sized shrubs, and ground covers creates a hierarchical look throughout the site. The walkway system on the 1.25-acre lake takes you along a winding trail that is heavily landscaped. The landscape was designed with Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) & Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Scripps is pursuing LEED Gold Certification.
