Town of Marineland

Thad Crowe provided contract planning and zoning services for the Town from 2008 to 2019.  

Responsibilities Included:

• Attended City Council meetings and provided technical assistance upon request.

• Updated Land Development Code including substantive updates of the Sign Code and Telecommunications Tower Code, and added new code sections addressing conditional uses, special events, outdoor markets, and food trucks.

• Reformatted the entire Land Development Code, and reviewed special event applications.

• Procured Florida Department of Economic Opportunity funding for a study of alternative wastewater treatment plant approaches, and directed consultants in this effort.

• Worked with the Town and the University of Florida in planning the Whitney Village, a development of seaside cottages for visiting researchers at UF’s Whitney Laboratory.
