The Tremont Plaza Hotel is a 300-room hotel located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, just blocks from the Inner Harbor, National Aquarium and Science Center.
This 570-space parking structure, commissioned by the City of Baltimore, provides private parking for hotel guests in a nested valet operation, as well as public parking for monthly and transient users. Post-tensioned concrete construction allowed for this structure to be built on a tight urban site spanning Lovegrove Alley, a public right of way.
Project Highlights:
• Jump ramps were used between the parking ramps to obtain floor-to-floor height clearances
• An air-conditioned pedestrian spine connects the Tremont Plaza Hotel to the Masonic Temple used for meetings
• Two elevator lobbies to allow patrons to exit toward Charles Street or onto Saint Paul Street
• Brick, stone and metal fins contribute to the unique façade
