Tulsa International Airport

Client:
Tulsa Airport Authority
Market:
Development
Location:
Tulsa, Oklahoma

Project Details

WGI was retained by Tulsa International Airport to conduct a parking and market-rate analysis.

Project Highlights:

  • Identify airport parking user groups and their importance to parking volume and revenues
  • Identify factors affecting the selection of parking options offered by the airport
  • Analyze off-airport competition including competitive factors such as rates, service levels, and amenities
  • Identify factors affecting selection decisions between airport facilities and off-airport competitors
  • Develop a predictive financial model for the analysis of the impact of changes in the parking rate structure. A model was developed for each major facility and parking category using historical transaction volume and length-of-stay data for the garage short-term area, garage long-term area, and surface economy lot
  • Review and compare rates by parking facility type against other comparable airports in the region
  • Recommend rate increases and an overall comparative rate structure within the airport parking system based on analyzing user preferences, competitive conditions, and recommended service improvements
