University City Science Center Parking Structure

Project Details

Established in 1963, the University City Science Center is the first and largest urban research park in the United States. The demand for parking was high in this multi-block urban research campus, so this free-standing parking structure is designed to meet the parking needs of this research hub. The architectural treatment complements the adjacent research campus buildings.

Project Highlights:

• Two-way traffic flow with 90-degree angled parking stalls
• Precast/prestressed concrete structural frame with pre-topped double tees and caisson foundations
• Two-bay structure with one flat bay and one sloped bay
