WGI provided an evaluation of five structures varying in age from over 40 years old for the C-7 and C-10 structures to 7 years old for the B-4 structure. The study provided the Department of Campus Parking with a current assessment of all parking structures and a planning and budgeting tool for maintenance and repairs. The objectives of the study were to provide:
1. A current assessment of the condition of each structure.
2. A statement of estimated life expectancy of each structure.
3. A lifecycle cost and maintenance schedule for repairs.
4. An assessment of potential structural deficiencies affecting facility operations.
5. An estimate of fund reserves required to address potential un-scheduled structural deficiencies and events.
WGI completed a lifecycle analysis of the five parking decks to assess each structure’s current condition, develop recommendations for short-term and long-term repair and maintenance, and project the remaining useful service life.
