WGI is providing civil engineering services for the team led by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA) and Thomas Phifer & Partners to develop a chain of parks around a restored Waller Creek in downtown Austin, Texas.
Waller Creek Conservancy, in partnership with the City of Austin, is spearheading the project which will run from Waterloo Park at 15th Street to Lady Bird Lake.
When completed, a new parks district will be created that will include more than 3.7 acres of newly designed and connected urban parks and public open space, and more than three miles of new hiking and bicycling trails, along with engaging art and educational programming.
