Waterway Park Continuing Services for Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation

The 30-acre Waterway Park is located on the Intracoastal Waterway in Jupiter. WGI was hired to assess the environmental conditions of the site, create a master park plan, and obtain development approvals for the site, as well as landscape architecture plans. The park features include boat ramps, a boardwalk and trail system, parking, picnic pavilions, and other associated facilities. 

Project Highlights 

• The park was part of an overall master plan with the adjacent community, requiring outreach efforts to mitigate issues including buffering and vehicular access. Our in-depth assessment and survey of the natural resources of Waterway Park allowed Palm Beach County to accurately anticipate future mitigation and maintenance costs involved with permitting the proposed site plan. On a site like this with many natural resources, WGI used our experience with permitting to guide the County through entitlements and environmental approvals to create a plan that met the unique requirements of the County and surrounding community.
