WGI provided parking consulting, structural engineering, and waterproofing/durability design for a new 286-space parking structure on the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center campus in Columbia. The project included realignment of the campus ring road to improve traffic flow. The garage architecture evokes the campus’ historic Neo-Georgian style, and the main stair/elevator tower mirrors the features of the adjacent Building 106.
The design team coordinated with VA staff to identify the need for long-term solutions that provide the flexibility of future growth, including future horizontal expansion to the south and connectivity to a future clinic building.
