Partnering with the Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), WGI delivered a comprehensive overhaul of the Turnpike Mainline (SR-821) corridor. This ambitious project expanded the heavily trafficked roadway from six to ten lanes, incorporating managed “Thru” lanes to optimize traffic flow.
Beyond capacity improvements, the project involved the reconstruction of collector-distributor (C-D) roadways serving multiple interchanges and the construction of direct connection flyover ramps at the SR-821/SR-836 system-to-system interchange. These enhancements not only improve regional mobility but also elevate safety and efficiency for commuters and long-distance travelers alike.
