Given the recent developments regarding the spread of COVID-19 in the United States and associated government directives, we are paying special attention to how this crisis is impacting our client’s businesses. WGI’s number-one priority is the safety and well-being of our associates, clients, families, and communities.
During this period of uncertainty, we’re doing everything we can to protect the health and safety of our associates and our clients while continuing to deliver at a high level for our clients. We’d like to inform you of the steps we are taking to ensure continuity of service as we protect our clients and team members.
As a client-driven professional services firm, we are committed to you and your mission. As a technology-driven infrastructure firm, we created a robust and sustainable platform that has prepared us to continue operations under a “new” set of rules and guidelines. Our information technology infrastructure is highly advanced. Many years ago, WGI moved all essential services into the “cloud,” increased bandwidth to all 18 office locations, added virtual phones to our computers, and cameras to our desktop handsets. We added multiple layers of world-class protection against external intrusion and cybercrimes. We instituted redundancy for essential data transmission, storage, and backup.
Our technology infrastructure also extended our ability to work seamlessly from multiple offices, environments, and situations. Through significant investments in tools and training, as well as the adoption of resilient business practices, WGI created a virtual business environment able to respond to nearly all eventualities. This includes multiple video conferencing and collaboration toolsets; secure VPN access nationally; secure redundant cloud access to project data; and processes that allow our staff to work remotely without interruption. These systems are flexible and scalable and have been tested across our organization multiple times under varying scenarios.
WGI has a Crisis Management Team in place, meeting regularly to monitor the progress and impacts of COVID-19 closely. We continue to adapt, and keep our associates and clients informed.
