Northline is a dense urban, mixed-use project in the heart of the City of Leander's new Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) center. Located less than 30 miles north of Austin, TX, Northline covers approximately 115 acres and is anticipated to include a mix of complementary uses, including retail, office, residential, hotel, and parks.
With a population of 8,000 in 2005, Leander's population has grown to over 63,000 which makes it one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Upon completion, Northline will essentially become Leander's "new downtown" - a place where residents can work, dine, shop, and live.

WGI is providing civil, traffic/transportation, and electrical engineering services for the development, including the design of public roadways, drainage, water, wastewater, and electrical infrastructure. We are collaborating with the design team that includes David M. Schwarz Architects, Design Workshop, and Clayton + Little. The development team includes Northline Leander Development Company (NLDC), Tynberg LLC, and Lincoln Property Company.
The new development will eventually include 2,300 new homes, two hotels, retail and office space, and perhaps even a convention center. Northline’s retail offerings will be a destination in and of themselves. Positioned along Main Street, the retail section of Northline will serve as the centerpiece of the community.
The first phase of the project is expected to be completed in a year-and-a-half.
