WGI Named Among Tampa Bay's Largest Employers by Tampa Bay Business Journal

WGI has landed at No. 409 on the Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2026 List of Tampa Bay's Largest Employers, placing the firm among the top 500 organizations on a list that spans more than 1,000 businesses, nonprofits, and government entities across the region.

A Regional Benchmark for the Local Workforce

The list includes employers that collectively employ over half a million people across Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sarasota counties. It's compiled through Tampa Bay Business Journal research and employer-submitted data, and this year's edition reflects an expanded research methodology developed in coordination with more than 40 sister publications under the American City Business Journals network. That shift added over 1,000 additional local employers to the online rankings beyond the 75 featured in print, giving the list a broader and more detailed picture of who's hiring across Tampa Bay.

Growth Behind the Ranking

Landing in the top 500 out of more than a thousand employers is a meaningful marker for WGI's Tampa office, which has grown steadily alongside the region's expanding transportation, land development, and infrastructure markets. As Tampa Bay continues to draw new investment in these areas, the need for firms with local roots and multidisciplinary expertise has grown right along with it.
