WGI was responsible for the design of Atlantic Avenue, transforming it from a 2-lane rural section to a 4-lane divided section for a distance of over one mile. WGI services included horizontal and vertical geometrics for roadway widening, relocation of the existing Lake Worth Drainage District (LWDD) L-34 Canal, an enclosed drainage conveyance system, new mast arm signalization design at the Lyons Road intersection, environmental permitting, assistance with right-of-way acquisition, and signing and pavement marking plans.
