WGI provided a condition assessment and structural evaluation of the Wall Street, Rankin, and Civic Center parking decks. The review included a visual examination of floor and ceiling surfaces, structural elements and their supports, façade, and stairwells in determining quantities and locations of deterioration. Non-destructive testing assessed the most vulnerable slab areas, such as the areas above the beams and floor slabs. A number of issues impacting the durability of the structures were observed. The repair program included precast concrete repair (tee flange, columns, corbels, tee stems), sealant replacement, expansion joint replacement, sealer application, deck coating in selected areas, and installation of a traffic-bearing membrane.Â
