The MAT Garage is located in downtown Hartford, between the corners of Church Street and Main and Chapel Street and Main. The facility has a capacity of approximately 900 vehicles. The Garage was constructed in the early 1980s with a cast-in-place concrete, one-way pan/joist system supported by reinforced concrete beams and columns. 

WGI is currently aiding in the facility’s renovation, applying our functional expertise to facilitate improvements in vehicular signage, traffic flow, parking control equipment, and pedestrian access to the facility. As significant renovations to the Hartford Stage Company are concurrently occurring to this shared property, WGI is also providing structural expertise in making aesthetic improvements to the garage entrances and redesigning an existing stairwell for easier pedestrian access to and from the adjacent theater.
