Climate Action Plan - Coconut Creek, FL

Client:
City of Coconut Creek
Market:
Cities and Communities
Location:
Coconut Creek, FL

Project Details

The City of Coconut Creek contracted WGI to update the city’s Green Plan Sustainability Report by creating a Climate Action Plan. The WGI team compared policy objectives between the Broward County Climate Action Plan (BCCAP) and the city’s Green Plan to find areas of agreement. The WGI team then recommended updates while remaining consistent with the BCCAP. Performance measures and all figures and graphics were updated.

Areas of focus for the Climate Action Plan included policy, community health, the built environment, transportation, water and energy resources, and the natural environment. Coconut Creek CCAP has identified two goals: 1) reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and 2) increase community resilience against climate change.

Project Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment
  • Data Collection
  • Geospatial Modeling
  • Mapping and Analysis

Project Cost $49,490.00
