This work supported the Project Development and Environment Study for the widening of this roadway and included engineering design surveys and control for 16 miles of the Interstate. Surveys included GPS horizontal and vertical control, 345 aerial targets for fixed wing photography and 36 bridge surveys using prismless technology. Survey efforts also included re-establishing the historical baseline, right-of-way lines and preparing a right-of-way control survey map.
