J.W. Wildlife Management Area Camp G - Concept Planning

The J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area was interested in creating an ADA-accessible campground to extend camping and recreation opportunities to disabled visitors. WGI was tasked with reimagining Campground G as an accessible recreational amenity and developed three conceptual site plans. These site plans greatly expand the number of RVs and tent campsites, create ADA-accessible campsites, improve circulation, add wayfinding, and improve the camping experience. The site plans were designed to complement the naturalized aesthetic of Campground G and minimize environmental disturbance. WGI ensured that the site plans were designed in compliance with Florida Fish and Wildlife regulations and National Park best practices. The J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area hired WGI again to take the conceptual plans to engineering-level drawings.
