The City of Delray Beach has submitted an application for funding to the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA) to provide roadway improvements along Lindell Boulevard from US 1 (Federal Highway) to Linton Boulevard and along Blue Jay Turn to Carl Bolter Drive/Avocet Road Loop to Lindell Boulevard. The neighborhood roadway improvements will provide the following:
• Gives properties more curb appeal with attractive landscaping
• Adds decorative street lighting that provides safety and security
• Provides a buffered bike lane and sidewalks for added safety for walkers, cyclists, children and pets
• Provides wider sidewalks for wheelchairs that will comply with ADA accessibility requirements
• Reduces traffic and helps enforce the restriction of large commercial vehicles traveling on Lindell Boulevard
• Enhances the residential character of the neighborhood
• Increases property values
WGI was retained to oversee public outreach activities associated with the project and these include creating neighborhood newsletters, conducting neighborhood meetings, performing property appraiser research, and serving as a contact for questions comments and concerns from residents.
