Design and construction phase services were provided for approximately 350 feet of meandering boardwalk, a fishing pier, and a remote observation deck and pavilion within the North Jupiter Flatwoods Natural Area owned and managed by Palm Beach County Environmental Resource Management. The structures comprised concrete pile foundations, heavy timber framing, and IPE, a Brazilian hardwood for the decking and handrailing system designed to blend with the surrounding area and minimize maintenance for the County. The boardwalk and observation deck alignments were designed to reduce the impact on the existing trees and wetland areas.
