This project included the recovery of 50 horizontal and/or vertical control points published in the District’s ATLAS database. The objective was to establish NGS third order elevations referring to both the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 1988) and the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 1929) at each found and identified vertical control point. The survey also established Real Time Kinematic (RTK) horizontal position referring to the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83) at all of the found 50 control points. Final deliverables included District benchmark description sheets, CORPSMET 95 Meta data sheets, digital photos of each location and a final Surveyor’s Report.
