SAY SI West Campus

WGI was selected as the civil engineer partner when SAY SI decided to relocate its campus. The new campus involved adapting an existing facility to accommodate their needs. This process included extensive planning with SAY SI staff and the landscape and architecture team to ensure their operational functions, aspirational vision, and the site’s existing conditions were understood. WGI provided civil site planning, traffic analysis, parking study, utility design, and coordination with SAWS and CPS Energy, San Antonio River Authority for connectivity to the adjacent Apache Creek, and city staff to understand the implications of the floodplain on the site.

Project Highlights:

• WGI implemented creative design solutions to make existing conditions functional for their students and staff. As a non-profit organization, SAY SI’s budget was critical to the implementation process. WGI coordinated with the organization and design team to identify creative solutions to meet budget needs without sacrificing quality and function.
