Tallahassee International Airport Perimeter Road

The City of Tallahassee proposes to increase the Southside Cemetery by 3.5 acres which encroaches on the Tallahassee International Airport interior maintenance/access road. WGI performed a topographic survey to support the design and realignment of the access road around the existing cemetery adjoining the east side of the airport to allow for future expansion. Close coordination with the client and airport security personnel was maintained at all times to ensure the safety of the workers and the safety of the public. WGI provided a full Digital Terrain Model (DTM) with improvements, established all adjacent property lines, right-of-way lines, and provided geotechnical support. Adherence to the city’s municipal code on tree mitigation was followed including proper tree classification. A signed and sealed survey was delivered to the client ahead of schedule as well as all pertinent CAD files.
