Temple Beth El, Western Campus will provide daycare services for over 300 children along with more than 22,000 square feet of assembly space for religious education. The facility is pursuing LEED NC Silver designation through the US Green Building Council.Â
The western campus boasts a variety of sustainable design attributes. It is part of a Mixed-Use Planned Development providing synergy for a variety of uses. Native and drought-tolerant landscape materials were specified to reduce irrigation requirements. An on-site detention pond, which collects the building run-off, will provide the school with all of its irrigation needs.Â
Commissioned artwork will be placed throughout the campus. Site lines and proximity to the main entrance were considered when designing the landscape elements that will surround and enhance the public art to be located in the front of the building and the rear courtyard area.Â
Temple Beth El Western Campus will be a safe, healthy, and sustainable place for children to learn and grow.Â
