WGI designed three bridges for the Tesoro Country Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Each bridge is 50 feet wide, with lengths varying from 410 feet to over 570 feet. The multi-span bridges were constructed utilizing prestressed concrete piles, concrete pile caps, and prestressed concrete deck units that are transversely post-tensioned.

The three bridge designs included decorative concrete pilaster railing with cap rails above the concrete barriers. This railing is located between decorative concrete pilasters. Sidewalks are located on both sides of the bridges and are constructed of paver stones located on sand bedding.

WGI staff provided structural design services and construction administration services. Design services included preparation of construction design plans, signed and sealed design calculations, preparation of an engineer’s cost estimate, and oversight of the permit application process. Construction services included observation of the concrete prestressing, reinforcement, and concrete placement. Field and prestressed yard observations were completed throughout construction so that final certification could be provided.
